I like fat words like turpitude and podgy, and I like creaky words like cantankerous and intransigent.  I like slippery “V” words, such as suave, svelte, verve.  I like words that crunch when spoken, like grapple or chomp.  I like elegant, flowery words such as elysium or halcyon.  I like sniggly, chuckling words like giggle, cowlick and burp. 

I like being a freelance writer because I get to use all these words and ever-so-many more in stories that make readers laugh, cry, rage, learn, enjoy and remember.
